Food “popups” have become kind of a big deal in recent years. With Valor Wine, we offer something akin to “winery popups.” We are proud to say we’re the first of our kind in the greater Milwaukee area – bringing wineries to the city. We plan to feature a different Midwest winery every 3-4 months, effectively bringing the winery straight to you.

Owner Alexandria Backes noticed that wineries in the Midwest – for obvious reasons – are all so far away from our city. This distance prompted Alex, along with her mother-in-law and sister-in-law, to start a “Girls’ Trip” tradition every May where they travel around to Wisconsin and Midwest-based wineries, sampling the goods, and appreciating the truly unique character of Midwestern grapes.

As satisfying as these trips can be, Alex started to wonder about ways to share these experiences with others, and the question arose: “how can I make the girls’ trip into a weekly thing?” With that in mind, she knew she wanted to make Valor Wine into a place that she would want to go and that infectious enthusiasm for the truly unique Midwestern wine would spread to others looking for a little excursion of their own.

Now, Alex is always seeking out the approachable but novel wine. If you can get it anywhere, you’re not gonna find it here. Valor Wine is the place to expand your palate, learn something new, and find your next favorite wine.
